The hot rolling of steel sheets is a highly energy-intensive process. There are technical and operational issues associated with this process, and the causes of these issues can be various. This study involved analysis of one issue that has a great influence on the resulting surface quality of rolled sheet metal: rolled foreign material. After the sheet cools, rolled foreign material tends to fall off and a hole then remain on the surface of the sheet. This paper focuses on the search for the root causes of the occurrence of foreign material rolling. The basic categorization of the causes of this issue was performed by experienced long-term operators. The 4M method (man, machine, method, and material) was used to categorize the causes. Pairwise comparison was used to verify the result. Using energy dispersive spectroscopy analysis, the origin of the foreign material was identified. The analysis confirmed that the foreign material was not derived from the primary material. Further research showed that the cause of the issue was the guide rulers, which are a structural part of the rolling mill. Measures were taken to significantly reduce the incidence of the problem, which also had the effect of reducing financial losses, which fell by a third in 18 weeks. In the future, it will be necessary to make design changes (modernization of the rolling mill), which will, however, require more financial investment.

Zachowania konsumentów podlegają ustawicznym transpozycjom. Z jednej strony są one modelowane przez ciągły rozwój technologii teleinformatycznych i dynamiczne zmiany obserwowane na rynku. Z drugiej jednak strony zachowania stają się czynnikiem sprawczym i przyczyniają się do kolejnych przeobrażeń. Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu przedstawienie trendów konsumenckich osób niepełnosprawnych ruchowo, które pojawiają się lub nasilają we współczesnym społeczeń-stwie konsumpcyjnym w kontekście tendencji do digitalizacji stosunków społecznych. Pierwsza tura przeprowadzonych badań ukazała, że osoby niepełnosprawne coraz częściej wykazują skłon-ności do zachowań prosumenckich przez wyrażanie swoich opinii i oczekiwań za pośrednictwem portali społecznościowych, forów internetowych i stron www producentów. Grupa konsumentów niepełnosprawnych jako podmiot prowadzonych rozważań została wybrana nie bez przyczynyjest to grupa bardzo liczna, zarówno w Polsce, jak i w na świecie oraz nie jest ona wyczerpująco opisana w literaturze przedmiotu.Słowa kluczowe: zachowania konsumenckie, prosument, etnocentryzm, wartości postmodernistyczne, konsument niepełnosprawny WprowadzenieSpołeczeństwa wysoko rozwinięte charakteryzują się dużą dynamiką zmian w sferze konsumpcji. Postrzeganie konsumpcji jedynie jako sposobu na zaspokojenie podstawowych potrzeb życiowych traci wiele ze swojej aktualności. Dobra konsumpcyjne, stanowiąc o odrębności jednostki lub, wręcz przeciwnie, o jej przynależności do danej grupy, stają się niejednokrotnie jedynie źródłem odczuwanej przyjemności.W konsekwencji rosnącej dostępności nowych kanałów sprzedaży oraz moż-liwości, jakie otwierają przed konsumentami nowoczesne technologie, sposób nabywania dóbr konsumpcyjnych na przestrzeni lat znacząco ewoluował. Zjawiska zakupów internetowych i zakupów grupowych czy wykorzystanie mediów społecznościowych do kontaktów i dzielenia się opiniami na temat produktów z innymi konsumentami znacząco zmieniło funkcjonowanie współczesnych konsumentów.Celem artykułu jest ukazanie trendów w zachowaniach konsumenckich osób niepełnosprawnych ruchowo w świetle zachodzących obecnie przemian rynkowych. Pierwszy etap przeprowadzonych badań ukazał, że wśród osób niepełno-sprawnych nasilają się zachowania będące wynikiem rosnącej dostępności do internetu. In the current business environment, problem-solving remains a critical and highly relevant skill for achieving customer satisfaction especially in the context of digitalization and industry 4.0 and a strong requirement from IATF 16949. In the present paper, a comprehensive analysis of existing problem-solving models is conducted, examining their strengths, limitations, and applicability in the manufacturing companies. By drawing insights from traditional methodologies, as already addressed in the scientific literature, such as Six-Step Model A3 methodology, 8 Disciplines, Six Sigma, the Cynefin Framework, Kepner-Tregoe Methodology and 5P (Principles) for Problem Solving, a new and integrative model designed to address the shortcomings identified in current approaches is created. This innovative framework, named “Synchronous Model” (Greek word for modern) synthesizes key elements from diverse models, offering a more adaptable solution to complex and modern problem-solving challenges. Emphasizing its potential for business digital transformation, we discuss how the proposed model fosters efficiency, agility, and strategic decision-making within organizational settings. This research not only contributes to the theoretical understanding of problem-solving methodologies but also provides valuable insights for practitioners seeking innovative approaches to address challenges in their respective industries, for which the current methods are either not sufficient or too complex. The integration of “Synchronous Model” is meant to elevate problem-solving practices, offering a transformative impact on business operations and strategic decision-making, all in the benefit of the customer.
