Improving Hard Disk Drive Unloading Performance With a Disk Bump

Abstract: Most hard disk drives use ramp load/unload (L/UL) technology because of its many advantages. However, L/UL does have some unresolved drawbacks, such as slider-disk contact during fast unloading.
