Improvement of polymer blend properties by changing sequence of mixing

Abstract: The basic objective of this article is to improve the polymer blend properties by changing mixing sequence. Blending of two elastomers does not lead to a molecularly homogeneous blend (true solution), but to a heterogeneous system in which both polymer phases are present. In this article, the detailed study of heterogeneous distribution of carbon black as well as blend inhomogenity and the physicomechanical including dynamic mechanical properties of the blend has been carried out. The choice of the blend was n… Show more

“…C-C and C-O stretching vibration also remained almost unchanged in the spectra of LO-loaded microcapsules. [71] No generation of new chemical bonds was evidenced by no specific peak value found between spectra of microcapsules and wall materials. This further confirms the formation of complexes promoted by physical interaction such as electrostatic interaction rather than chemical reactions.…”

“…19,20 Improving the covulcanization of individual components is very important for rubber/rubber blending technology. 21 Much pioneering work had been done by changing processing methods, [22][23][24] accelerator grafted graphene to narrow the crosslinking rate gap, 20 reactive compatibilizers and cocuring agents, in situ polymerization curing agents. 25,26 Furthermore from the viewpoint of materials technology, the static and dynamic mechanical properties play the most essential role.…”
