Improved Synergetic Current Control for Grid-connected Microgrids and Distributed Generation Systems

Abstract: This paper presents the development of improved synergetic current control for the injected current of an inverter in the grid-connected microgrid and the distributed generation system (DGS). This paper introduces new formulas of the macro-variable functions for integral synergetic control (SC) and integral fast terminal SC, which both have an integral term to guarantee zero steady-state error. The proposed integral SC and integral fast terminal SC achieve a seamless performance such as the fast convergence, m… Show more

“…So simple nonlinear methods become attractive alternatives for complex system applications where high reliability is required. Due to these characteristics, the application of the SC has been extended from simple systems such as electric motors to systems for generating electricity from renewable energy sources [19], [20], [21], [22]. These works demonstrated the efficiency and performance of the SC strategy in improving the characteristics of several systems and strategies, such as overcoming the problems and defects of both PI and DPC.…”
