“…In another study, an injectable drug delivery system was developed, involving oxaliplatin (OXA) and TA incorporated into polymeric nanoparticles in a form of a thermo-sensitive hydrogel, (OXA/TA NPs-H). Intraperitoneal application of OXA/TA NPs-H restricted the growth of CT26 peritoneal colon cancer in vivo, improved the quality of life, and prolonged the survival time of the model mice, which suggests this drug delivery system can be applied in colorectal cancer treatment [67].…”

“…TA possesses additive feature due to its low viscosity, good water solubility, and biocompatibility. TA can bind to drug molecules via hydrophobic interactions, which in turn form a self-assembled cross-linked network [67]. Such approach was used to generate TApaclitaxel (PTX) selfassembly nanoparticles (TAP NPs) in order to potentiate PTX chemotherapeutic efficiency.…”

“…To deal with colorectal cancer (CRC), one of the most malignant tumors that originates from colon and rectum, which severely affects public health, 130 the collaborative DDS containing more than two drugs is well worth studying. Oxaliplatin (OXA)/tannic acid (TA) nanoparticles‐hydrogel 131 was demonstrated favorable antiangiogenesis and anticancer function based on the synergistic effect of OXA and TA. In animal experiment, OXA/TA NPs‐hydrogel effectively controlled the CT26 peritoneal colon tumor nodular size, and the result of a prolonged life span of mice was also strong proof supporting future hydrogel intraperitoneal anticancer application.…”

“…29 Tannic acid could reverse OXA resistance in CRC cells, which was consistent with our study. 30 However, the mechanism underlying the chemo-preventive effect of Tan IIA has not been fully demonstrated. Several studies have demonstrated that activation of Akt and ERK signaling pathways could directly induce drug resistance.…”
