Importance of postpolypectomy surveillance and postpolypectomy compliance to follow-up screening—review of literature

Abstract: In conclusion, effective surveillance screening with good patient compliance in postpolypectomy patients will contribute significantly in reducing colon cancer morbidity and mortality.

“…Postpolypectomy surveillance has become a major component of endoscopic practice because an increasing number of patients with colorectal polyps have been discovered as a result of increased use of CRC screening, particularly the dramatic increase in screening colonoscopies 12,13.
