“…In the present study, nurses obtained a relatively high score for compliance with the nursing process indicators, especially in the domains of assessment, diagnosis, and evaluation. Our findings are consistent with those of Rivas et al, who investigated the implementation of the nursing process in primary healthcare and reported that using the nursing process can improve the quality of care and people’s health ( 12 ). Training nurses on the nursing process and encouraging them to implement it can significantly improve the quality of nursing care ( 5 , 13 ).…”

“…The assessment criteria were established through the following procedure: A panel of experts was formed with the 22 members of the QCC. An initial proposal of 5 criteria was prepared by the QCC coordinator, taking into account the reviewed literature (Gerencia de Atención Primaria Área 9, ; Pérez‐Rivas, Santamaría García, Minguet Arenas, Beamud Lagos, & García López, ): “Burden of care,” “Expectations of resolution,” “Self‐perceived health,” “Social impact,” and “Resources needed.” Two successive questionnaires were submitted to the panel of experts with the initial proposal of criteria in which they were asked about the relevance of including each criterion, the explanation of each criterion, and the measurement scale. The first questionnaire also offered the possibility of including new criteria, which were assessed by the experts in the second questionnaire. Consensus on the criteria (inclusion, name, and measurement scale) was established when at least 75% of the panelists concurred with the proposal put forward and voted in favor of the proposal put forward in the second submission. The final proposal was reached after two face‐to‐face meetings were held with the participation of all of the members of the commission. …”
