Implementation and Evaluation of a Home Healthcare Nursing Transition-to-Practice Pilot Program

Abstract: Key foundational factors associated with successful nurse residency programs include a dedicated program coordinator, a healthy work environment, a structured curriculum guided by a theoretical framework, and an evaluation process that utilizes nurse resident feedback to improve the program (Chant & Westendorf, 2019). Furthermore, CCNE outlines key elements for demonstrating institutional fiscal commitment to support program educators, preceptors, and NTP nurses in fully participating in the program.
