Impairment and activity limitation changes in assisted living facility residents over the course of one year- A pilot study

Abstract: Background and purpose: When the elderly begin planning for a safe future, they may choose to move to an assisted living facility. Assisted living facilities (ALF) are a popular choice for senior living, but whether residents maintain their independence and movement ability over time in assisted living facilities has not been studied. The purpose of this study is to examine the changes in impairments and activity limitations in residents of ALF over the course of one year.
