Impacto dos fatores associados à sintomatologia depressiva na saúde de idosos em hemodiálise

Abstract

O objetivo desse estudo é conhecer o impacto dos fatores associados à sintomatologia depressiva na saúde de idosos em hemodiálise. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa realizada em junho de 2017 com artigos selecionados por meio da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde. Foram utilizadas duas combinações de descritores. A primeira foi: Associação; Depressão; Idoso e Diálise Renal. Em seguida, utilizou-se a segunda combinação: Depressão; Diálise renal e Idoso, fazendo-se uso da inter-relação do operador booleano and. Os critérios de inclusão foram artigos publicados em língua portuguesa e inglesa entre 2007 e 2017, ser artigo gratuito e disponível eletronicamente, ter idosos como limite da pesquisa, ter transtorno depressivo maior e depressão como assuntos principais, além de possuir conteúdo relevante para responder o objetivo deste estudo. Após a aplicação dos critérios, selecionou-se 9 artigos, sendo que 8 (88,9%) estão indexados da MEDLINE e 1 (11,1%) na LILACS. Encontrou-se 4 fatores: anorexia, síndrome das pernas inquietas, prurido urêmico e desemprego. Os sintomas depressivos configuram-se nas comorbidades mais frequentes em pacientes em hemodiálise. Além disso, podem estar associados a maior risco de complicações dialíticas e cardiovasculares, au­mento da morbimortalidade, não adesão terapêutica e redução da qualidade de vida, tornando a incidência de suicídio dez vezes maior em relação à população geral. Conclui-se que há necessidade de fortalecimento da vigilância da equipe profissional para que esteja atenta às manifestações psiquiátricas com o objetivo de realizar o diagnóstico precoce e evitar maiores impactos.
