The gelatin industry wastewater has nutrients in its composition, allowing its use in agriculture as an alternative to disposal and recycling of this residue. However, high application rates can cause the accumulation of elements such as sodium in the soil, and generate negative impacts on the environment. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of the application of rates up to 600 m 3 ha -1 of gelatin industry wastewater in soil columns, on soil chemical attributes in five depths. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse, in PVC tube columns (0.20 m diameter) filled with distroferric Red Nitosol soil, of very clayey texture. The treatments consisted of increasing rates of wastewater equivalent to 0, 150, 300, 450 and 600 m 3 ha -1 , with a single application, at the soil surface and without incorporation. The application of the gelatin industry wastewater resulted no negative effects on soil chemical properties to a depth of 60 cm. The application of the levels of wastewater increased the concentration of sodium in the soil, but without causing problems with sodicity.

O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar efeitos da disposição final da água residuária de bovinocultura de leite (ARB) tratada por uma unidade piloto de tratamento (UPT), sobre características químicas de planossolo cultivado com cenoura, nas profundidades de 0-0,20 e de 0,20-0,40 m. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, com quatro tratamentos (0, 100, 200 e 300% da necessidade de nitrogênio) e quatro repetições. Foram quantificados os teores de NTotal, PDisp, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, COT, pH, CTC e SB, na profundidade de 0-0,20 e 0,20-0,40 m, avaliados no início (I) e fim (F) do ciclo do cultivo. Os teores de PDisp, K+, Na+ sofreram redução durante o ciclo, em ambas as profundidades. Entretanto Ca2+, Mg2+ e CTC apresentaram comportamento oposto, aumentaram com o final do ciclo. Não foi observada alteração para o pH, NTotal e SB. Com base nos resultados, a disposição final da ARB é uma alternativa complementar de tratamento, tendo em vista que a mesma não apresentou a curto prazo contaminação das profundidades avaliadas.

The objective was to evaluate the chemical attributes in a coffee growing area, according to different agronomic techniques used and their associations. The experiment was conducted in the field, from January 2016 to October 2018. Coffee was planted in January 2016, with Mundo Novo IAC 379-19 coffee seedlings, with a spacing of 3.6 m between rows and 0.75 m between plants in the planting row. The factors under study were arranged in a 3x2x5 factorial scheme, making a total of 30 treatments. In the plots, three soil managements were randomized (soil cover with polyethylene film, soil cover with brachiaria-grass and conventional management of spontaneous vegetation). In the subplots, two types of fertilizers (conventional and increased-efficiency fertilizer). In the sub-subplots, four soil conditioners (coffee husk, phosphogypsum, water retention polymer, organic compost), and the control without conditioner. Aimed to evaluate soil chemical attributes in coffee growing with different agronomic techniques through the evaluation of: soil pH, phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), aluminum saturation (m) and base saturation (V%). The use of fertilizers combined with the application of organic compost or coffee husk, provide increased soil pH, as well as the use of ecological management of brachiaria-grass. The use of organic compost as a soil conditioner increases phosphorus availability in the soil. Coffee husk, as a soil conditioner, is an efficient potassium source for the coffee crop. The use of organic compost and phosphogypsum increases the calcium and magnesium contents in the soil. The use of organic compost and coffee husk was efficient in increasing the base saturation grown with coffee. The use of organic compost, coffee husk and phosphogypsum reduced aluminum saturation in the soil. Treatments associated with the use of organic compost improve calcium, phosphorus and magnesium levels, increase pH and base saturation, besides decreasing aluminum saturation.
