Impacting Analysis on the Coupler and Buffer of a Subway Vehicle for the Shunting Operations

Abstract: After the general model of shunting operation was established, non-linear damping force was imported into ADAMS by means of spline function. Under the same coupling speed, the relationship between different shunting groups, the maximum impacting force and the buffer stroke was researched; the different impacting characteristics of the system were also analyzed under different shunting operations by means of the impulse transmission and kinetic theory method. In the condition of the same coupling speed and vehi… Show more

“…Rail transit security check needs to fully consider the passenger's "put and take luggage" and "wait for luggage" carrying behavior, analyze the security check service process of human check and item check, and study the security check mode under different scenarios. The study shows that the main factors affecting the speed of passenger entry security check include queue length, luggage size, luggage quantity, etc., but not much related to passenger characteristics [12]. Therefore, during peak hours, passengers carrying luggage mainly involve various handbags, backpacks, carry-on bags, suitcases, etc.…”

“…Based on multibody dynamics theory, Wang et al established a multibody dynamics model of the collision of two high-speed trains using MATLAB software and studied the dynamic response under different collision speeds [14]. Zhang et al used a spline function to simulate the nonlinear force of the buffer, and at the same speed, the different impact characteristics •3• of the buffer system under different shunting operations were analysed using single transfer and dynamic theory methods [15]. Zhu et al used a coupled feedback system to analyse a complete train model and developed a dynamic simulation program for the coupled system [16].…”
