When Industry 4.0 technologies are utilized in logistics practices, they create a Logistics 4.0 environment, and the key to successfully implementing Logistics 4.0 practices is the human capital of the logistics industry. The human capital of the logistics industry was found to be classified into four major categories, namely operative, supervisor, management, and government. This study aims to develop a new human capital framework that guides the logistics industry towards successfully implementing and managing Logistics 4.0 practices. The significance of this study is to utilize a new framework to shorten the gap between current basic logistics practices into Industry 4.0 practices. An integrative literature review technique was used thoroughly and reviewed and analyzed in order to create the Logistics 4.0 human capital development framework in a manner that satisfies the categories of logistics human capital. A combination of the business logistics management (BLM) framework and Industry 4.0 elements creates a new human capital development (HCD) framework in logistics and supply chains.

PurposeThe main purpose of this study is to examine the influence of two characteristics of supply chain management (SCM) (resilience and integration) on new product performance (NPP) via the mediation of marketing innovation orientation.Design/methodology/approachThis study was designed by the quantitative method, and the research model was developed based on the resource-based view (RBV) theory of 211 managers from Israeli firms using SmartPls3 software.FindingsThe main finding that emerges from this study is that marketing innovation orientation serves as a full mediator in the relationship between supply chain resilience (SCR) and NPP as well as in the relationship between supply chain integration (SCI) and NPP. Thus, companies that wish to achieve a competitive advantage over their rivals should improve and strengthen their marketing innovation orientation. By doing so, they enhance the relationship between SCM and NPP.Practical implicationsThe findings provide an applicable guideline for marketing managers. Managers should be ready to adapt to customers’ demands, environmental changes and, most importantly, disruptive events in a dynamic environment.Originality/valueThe current study sheds light on the mechanism for NPP via integrating suppliers, customers and the organization. So, managers should adopt SCR and integration to strengthen their marketing innovation orientation in order to achieve NPP.

Moroccan industrial companies are leading many changes inside their supply chain to take advantage of industry 4.0 transformation. This optic aims to ensure sustainability and innovation simultaneously. Or, one of the most crucial operations is to enhance innovation inside supply chain processes and to improve supply chain resilience and sustainability regarding the changeable environment. Therefore, in this paper, we develop an integral business model considering six constructs: supply chain integration, supply chain orientation, competition capability, business continuity management, environmental sustainability, and finally human and social approach. Then we apply the business model to the case of large and medium Moroccan companies. The main objective is to study the impact of the considered constructs with the mediation of industry 4.0 technological systems in achieving supply chain innovation and sustainability. Our paper is built of four sections, the first lists previous studies performed in some countries, the second presents the proposed business model, the third describes the experimental data collection, and in the last part, we discuss the results of the data validation process, followed by a conclusion and work perspectives.
