Impact of Hall effect, nonlinear radiation and heat source on MHD Couette–Poiseuille flow of nanoliquid through a rotating channel

Abstract: PurposeThis report offers the detailed investigation of Couette–Poiseuille flow of nanoliquid with varying viscosity. The analysis is carried out by considering flow between two parallel plates in a rotating permeable channel with the aid of nonlinear thermal radiation and Hall effect. The predominant equations governing the physical phenomenon are demonstrated using the Buongiorno model.Design/methodology/approachNumerical computation for the demonstrated physical problem is achieved through the implementatio… Show more

“…The influence of radiation and convection on the temperature behavior of wetted fin under moving condition has been scrutinized by Sowmya et al 33 via finite element method. The nonlinear radiation as well as hall effect along with heat source on a rotating channel with Coutte‐Poiseuille flow has been investigated by Sindhu et al 34 Sowmya and Gireesha 35 examined the impact of radiation on the various shaped porous fin structures using the differential transform method and analyzed the efficiency of the fin.…”

“…The concept of MHD was reported by Alfven. Owing to the importance of the aforesaid applications, plenty of theoretical examinations have been made by many authors (Jian, 2015;Reddy et al, 2015;Jha et al, 2015;Jha et al, 2017;Kaladhar et al, 2016;Makinde et al, 2016;Priyadarsan and Panda, 2017;Sindhu et al, 2020).…”

“…They found that for larger viscosity and thermal conductivity, irregularity in heat transfer is minimized. Sindhu et al (2020) studied the Couette-Poiseuille flow through a rotating channel and gave away an impact of non-linear radiation, Hall Effect and heat source. Their study revealed that on increasing the upper wall motion parameter and magnetic field, velocity enhances.…”
