IMPACT OF CERTAIN PLANT EXTRACTS ON ENZYMES ACTIVITY OF TOMATO LEAFMINER Tuta absoluta.

Abstract: The experiments were conducted in the laboratory Plant Protection Research Institute Dokki-Giza, to study the effect of Anethum groveolenus Dill, Ambrosia maritime Damaseia extract, Cumminum cyminum Cumin; Syzyguim aromaticum Clove and Allium maritime Garlic on activity of some enzymes in(Tuta absoluta Meyrick) on tomato plants were investigated. After the tested compounds application, the results revealed that these compounds had various effects on the activity alkaline phosphatases, α and β esterases and car… Show more

“…The obtained results are in harmony with those reported byYapi et al (2007) who purified a beta-glucosidase from the digestive juice of the palm weevil Rhynchophorus palmarum L. larvae; indicated the presence of alpha and betaglucosidaes and alpha and beta galactosidases in digestive system and haemolymph of R. ferrugineus and the mean specific activity of β-glucosidase was 0.067 Mmol/min/mg protein Taha et al (2015). mentioned the effect of certain extracts on enzymes activity of tomato leafminer.…”

“…However, rhodamine B, basil EO, mixed rose bengal and basil EO (mixture A), and mixed rhodamine B and basil EO (mixture C) result in a significant reduction in trehalase activity. In the same context, trehalase in the tomato leafminer Tuta absoluta was the most affected enzyme with a significantly high level after treatment with clove EO (Taha et al 2015). The reduction in trehalase activity observed in adult aphids treated with rhodamine B during exposure to sunlight indicates that the generated reactive oxygen species (ROS) induce further damage to the enzyme.…”
