Abstract: IntroductionThe worldwide obesity epidemic has resulted in a rise of bariatric surgery in women of reproductive age, which can lead to ‘iatrogenic undernutrition’. Long-lasting undernutrition can affect maternal health, pregnancy outcomes and offspring.
