“…There is no consensus on the immunohistochemical pro le of NA, especially regarding ER PR and HER2 status. Angel Fernandez-Flores suggested in his study that the immunophenotype of male NA is similar to that of females, with ER and PR being negative [9], but our study showed that the inner epithelial cells were ER and PR positive. In the outer myoepithelial cells, P63, smooth muscle myosin, calponin (SMA), and CK5/6 were positive, aiding in the differentiation from malignant tumors [5,6].…”

“…It has been defined as erosive adenomatosis of the nipple, papillary AN, florid adenomatosis, florid papillomatosis of the nipple, subareolar duct papillomatosis and superficial papillary adenomatosis of the nipple (2,8,12). Since the main feature common to these lesions is adenomatous proliferation in the stroma (small and medium caliber duct proliferation) (1,4), the definition of AN was preferred in the current study.…”

“…It generally occurs unilaterally and arises at an average age of between 43–45 years, predominantly in females and rarely in males and adolescents (13). The lesion, also known as erosive adenoma and florid papillomatosis, appears similar to a hard-elastic nodule that deforms the nipple, causing swelling or erosion with serous or hematic secretion.…”

“…For example, changes in the expression of certain myoepithelial markers such as CD10, p63, and M-actin were seen in nipple adenomas and other benign breast lesions compared to normal ductal tissue [4,16]. In previous case reports, changes in estrogen receptor and progesterone receptor immunoexpression were also reported in patients with nipple adenomas [17,18]. Although rare, it is important to take into account the possibility of benign tumor development, such as papillary adenomas of the nipple, when considering hormone therapy for perimenopausal women.…”
