“…The existence of a similar taste cell type immunoreactive to CGRP was not reported in TBs of other vertebrates. On the contrary, the presence of CGRP-ir fibers afferent to TBs was reported in both amphibians and mammals (Hisa et al, 1992;Shin et al, 1995;Astbä ck et al, 1995Astbä ck et al, , 1997Wakisaka et al, 1996;Huang and Lu, 1996;Yamamoto et al, 1997;Witt and Reutter, 1998;Kusakabe et al, 1998;Huang et al, 2003;Crescimanno et al, 2004;Ogura et al, 2007), but was not observed in lamprey. Apparently, lampreys and jawed vertebrates followed different evolutionary pathways as regards the distribution of CGRP in the taste system.…”

“…A különböző kémiai anyagok (sósav, cukor, nátrium klorid, urea) ízérzési ingerküszöbe diabeteses betegnél megváltozik [22,25,26].

“…Iwanaga et al (1992) have shown that the structure, metabolism, and functional characteristics of paraneurons, such as endocrine and sensory cells, are very similar to those of neurons. Taste receptor cells, which are typical sensory paraneurons, express certain neuron-specific proteins (Huang and Lu, 1996b;Iwanaga et al, 1992;Kanazawa and Yoshie, 1996;Yee et al, 2001). Yoshie et al (1991) demonstrated that certain guinea pig taste bud cells are immunoreactive for spot 35 protein, a protein found in cerebellar Purkinje cells, and that the ultrastructural features of these cells resemble those of type III cells and gave the evidence that paraneurons might share neuron-specific substances with neurons.…”

“…
ABSTRACTOn the basis of our previous report that protein gene product 9.5 (PGP 9.5)-immunoreactive nerve fibers and taste cells and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP)-immunoreactive nerve fibers are found in guinea pig vallate papillae [Huang and Lu (1996b) . We speculated that PGP 9.5 might be a marker for taste receptor cells and that CGRP might play an important role in taste transmission.
