Immune-Related Four-lncRNA Signature for Patients with Cervical Cancer

Abstract: Cervical cancer (CC) is a common gynecological malignancy for which prognostic and therapeutic biomarkers are urgently needed. The signature based on immune-related lncRNAs (IRLs) of CC has never been reported. This study is aimed at establishing an IRL signature for patients with CC. A cohort of 326 CC and 21 normal tissue samples with corresponding clinical information was included in this study. Twenty-eight IRLs were collected according to the Pearson correlation analysis between the immune score and lncRN… Show more

“…For example, Zheng and his partners analyzed TCGA and GSE6791 databases and constructed a 4 lncRNA signature which was related to survival rate of CC patients. 32 8-lncRNA signature of CC has also been identified by integrating DNA methylation, copy number variation and transcriptome data. 33 In this study, a prognostic model of immune-related lncRNAs was established with multiple regression analysis.…”

“…Studies have found that lncRNA is an important regulator of cancer immune response. Previous studies had shown that four immunerelated lncRNAs including BZRAP1-AS1, EMX2OS, ZNF667-AS1, and CTC-429P9.1, significantly correlated with immune cell infiltration and had important prognostic value for cervical cancer patients (Zheng J. et al, 2020). Another study found that five immune-related lncRNAs containing AP001007.1, LBX-AS1, MIR155HG, MAPT-AS1, and LINC00515, regulate the tumor immune microenvironment through the interaction of cytokines and cytokine receptors, complement and coagulation cascades to affect the prognosis of glioma (Wang et al, 2020).…”

“…Using the data from TCGA database, Zheng et al ( 23 ) observed EMX2OS was significantly downregulated in the CC tissues compared with normal controls. K-M survival curve analysis showed CC patients with high expression of EMX2OS had better OS compared with the low-expression group.…”
