A number of TPE-incorporated macrocycles and nanocages with typical AIE character exhibit (Figure A) an effective detection ability to various explosives. ,,,,, Zheng and co-workers employed an ether-linked TPE macrocycle, 24 (Scheme ), as a sensor to detect nitroaromatic explosives.
