Background: A labor with Sectio Caesarea (SC) will increase mortality rate, which is twice the rate of vaginal delivery. The morbidity rate is also higher in SC delivery due to post-SC wound infection. Post-SC wound healing requires high albumin. This study is intended to determine the effect of snake fish extract on post-SC wound status in postpartum anemia women. Subjects and Method: This was a true experimental study with randomized control group post-test design. The study was conducted at Hj. Anna Lasmanah Hospital, Banjarnegara, Central Java, in May to June 2018. The population of all post-partum postpartum mothers was anemia. A sample of 30 study subjects was selected by stratified random sampling, consisted of 15 study subjects in intervention and control groups. The dependent variable was post-SC wound. The independent variable was snake fish extract. Post-SC wound was measured by REEDA scales. The data was analyzed by General Linear Model Repeated Measure. Results: In day-5, post-SC wound in the intervention group (mean= 0.27; SD= 0.46) was lower than control group (mean= 1.07; SD= 0.80) and it was statistically significant (p= 0.002). Conclusion:Channa striata extract can accelerate post-SC wound healing.

Cork Fish (Channa striata) is a freshwater fish that was spread throughout most of Indonesia and it contains albumin that was beneficial to the human body. Albumin was easily dissolved in water during the cooking process both boiled and steamed. This study aims to determine the influence of boiling and steaming times at 100oC against albumin content of cork fish that lost and left in fish meat. The times of boiling and steaming that was used to processing the fish were 10, 15, and 20 minutes. The albumin concentration that lost and left in for the boiling and the steaming process was determined by the biuret test that used a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at albumin maximum wavelength of 530 nm. The results showed that albumin content that lost for 10 minutes boiling process (62 mg/10g) was smaller than the other boiling times and albumin left in fish meat was 164 mg/10g. The same result was also obtained at 10 minutes steaming process which results left in albumin content of 167 mg/10g and lost albumin of 62 mg/10g. The albumin content that lost or dissolved in water for the steaming process was smaller than the boiling process, therefore the steaming process is more efficient than the boiling process at cork fish processing. Abstract. The use of snakehead fish (Channa striata) collagen in cream is an alternative toreduce fish wastes. It has been proved that snakehead fish (Channa striata) contain collagen.This research aims to study the burn wound healing effectivity of bone’s collagen fromsnakehead fish (Channa striata) that is formulated into a cream. This study used theexperimental method with the bone of snakehead fish (Channa striata) as a sample. This studyconsisted of 4 (four) such as isolation of collagen from snakehead fish's (Channa striata) bone,characterization of collagen by analyzing moisture, ash, protein, fat and functional groupanalysis with FTIR, formulation, and evaluations of cream such as organoleptic test,homogeneity test, pH measurement, stability test, and irritation test, and burn wound healingtest in male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) and the result is analyzed using SPSS 22.0 Free trialand One Way ANOVA and Post-Hoc Tukey HSD. The results showed that fish collagen couldbe isolated from snakehead fish (Channa striata) and the yield obtained is 33.3%. The results ofcollagen characterization and evaluation test met the collagen standard requirements. Results ofthe burn wound healing test on male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) showed that K1 burn woundrecovered on day 21, K2 on day 12, K3 on day 15, K4 on day 18, and K5 on day 18.Measurement of burn wound diameter on day 21 showed K1 = 1.20 cm, K2 = 0.15 cm, K3 =0.10 cm, K4 = 0.45 cm, K5 = 0.40 cm. The results of the statistical analysis of burn wounddiameter showed a significant difference p = 0,000 (p <0.05) between each group. K3 showedthe reduction in the burn wound diameter is faster and the smallest, it can be concluded that theoptimal dose of snakehead fish bone’s collagen cream is a concentration of 3%.
