BPS-Statistics Indonesia, as an official data producer, puts data quality as a top priority. Public acceptance and trust in data reflect data reliability which is one of the data quality indicators. The existing survey that collects user acceptance, trust, and perspective to data produced by BPS can only reach data users in a limited number. Perspectives from a large number of data users cannot be captured. This research aims to build an application that collects and provides users’ perspectives and sentiment to official statistics sourced from online news. One feature in this application is Named Entity Recognition, which extracts public perspectives in entities such as names, organizations, statistical indicators, quotes or opinions, etc. This application objectively measures the sentiment of news discussing or citing statistical indicators. This application also facilitates BPS to do social network analysis to understand the relationships between fellow data users for each statistical indicator. The implicit goal is to effectively provide insights into how frequently society uses and refers to statistical indicators produced by BPS in any domain and their perspective on data. All models and features provided in this application have been evaluated based on standard performance metrics.

Background: Big data technology has been used in several sectors in Indonesia. Adoption of big technology provides great potential for research, especially achievement in the implementation of big data in manufacturing companies. The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI) Maturity Model is a tool that can be used to measure the state of "As-is" implementation of big data using 5 main dimensions. Maturity level shows the level of organizational ability to adjust big data technology currently.Objective: This study aims to measure the level of maturity in the implementation of big data technology in manufacturing companies PT. XYZ. This measurement is considered very important because it can know the process of managing data that is structured and has a high volume of data and provides more transparent reporting. This can help the company in making decisions that provide good information, so the company can increase the trust of stakeholders.Methods: This study uses qualitative methods to analyze research data using TWDI Maturity Model tools. Interview technique is used to retrieve respondent data where interview preparation guidelines are made by paying attention to 5 dimensions and 50 indicators in TDWI.Results: The research showed that the implementation of big data technology in the company as a whole has reached the level of corporate adoption. Infrastructure, data management, and analytics dimensions have reached the corporate adoption level while the organizational and governance dimensions are still at an early adoption level.Conclusion: To measure the maturity level of adoption of big data technology in manufacturing companies can use qualitative methods with TDWI Maturity model tools, interview guides for data retrieval by considering the 5 dimensions and 50 indicators that exist in TDWI.

Abstract-As we crossed past the millennium mark, slowly but steadily we were flooded by (digital) data from virtually everywhere. The challenges of big data demand new methods, techniques, and paradigms for processing data in a fast and scalable fashion. Most enterprises today need to employ data analysis technologies to remain competitive and profitable. Alas, the adoption of big data analysis technologies in Indonesia is still in its infancy, even in the academic sector. To encourage more adoptions of big data technologies, this study explored the development of Hadoop-based data analytics tools. Two case studies were used in the exploration. One is to showcase the performance comparison between Hadoop and DBMS, whereas the other is between Hadoop and a statistical analysis tool. Results clearly demonstrate that Hadoop is superior in processing a large data size. We also derive some recommendations to tune Hadoop optimally.
