Identificação De Entrada De Plumas Queimada E Principais Áreas Afetadas Na Região Sul Do Brasil

Show more

“…Because aerosols can be transported over long distances, depending on the regional circulation and the amount and intensity of fires (which are most prevalent during the dry season), aerosols originating in the Amazon region can cause changes at a local scale and in areas that are thousands of kilometers away from the emission regions (PRINS et al, 1998;ARTAXO et al, 2006;MARIANO, 2014). In view of these effects, an area of influence with a radius of 250 km was drawn around the study point (Figure 1).…”

“…These are efficient and potential control methods that seem to be less expensive and more environmentally sustainable compared to the application of chemical products (Djocgoue et al, 2006;Ndoumbe-Nkeng et al, 2004). Although the use of copper-based fungicides has been effective in reducing the level of infection by Phytophthora, the high costs of these products make them in many cases inaccessible for small farmers, who produce more than 50 % of the cocoa around the world ( de Oliveira & Newman, 2005). Furthermore, biological control is another alternative explored (Deberdt et al, 2008).…”
