Paenibacillusinfection with frequent viral coinfection contributes to postinfectious hydrocephalus in Ugandan infants

Abstract: Postinfectious hydrocephalus (PIH), which often follows neonatal sepsis, is the most common cause of pediatric hydrocephalus worldwide, yet the microbial pathogens underlying this disease remain to be elucidated.
