“…Tumbuhan ini tumbuh di berbagai karakter ekologi, mulai dari ketinggian 0-3500 m dpl, mulai dari rawa-rawa air tawar di pantai hingga pegunungan tinggi. Nepenthes cenderung tumbuh di tempat miskin zat hara, pH rendah dan miskin Nitrogen (Wistuba et al, 2007 batang tidak teratur, permukaan berbulu rapat berwarna coklat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis Nepenthes di Kawasan Hutan Jalan Merek-Sidikalang, Lae Pondom, Merek, Kabupaten Karo, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksploratif. Penelitian dilakukan selama bulan November-Desember 2019. Hasil penelitian ditemukan dua jenis Nepenthes yaitu Nepenthes spectabilis Danser dan Nepenthes tobaica Danser. N. spectabilis Danser ditemukan pada ketinggian 1486- 1508 m dpl dengan suhu 23-250C dan N. tobaica Danser ditemukan pada ketinggian 1501-1510 m dpl dengan suhu 230C. Hasil identifikasi Nepenthes yang dilakukan berdasarkan rujukan dari buku-buku Flora of Java, Flora Malesiana, Nepenthes of Sumatra, Nepenthes of Borneo bahwa bentuk-bentuk morfologi kedua Nepenthes tersebut sangat berbeda berdasarkan morfologi batang, daun, kantong, akar dan bunga. Namun demikian, diperlukan penelitian lanjut terkait identifikasi Nepenthes dengan lokasi yang berbeda agar menjadi informasi tambahan. Reinwardtia 20(1): 17–26. — A new species of Nepenthes (Nepenthaceae) from Aceh Province, Indonesia, Nepenthes longiptera Victoriano is herein described and illustrated. The species is unique among all other Nepenthes in Sumatra by the presence of wings on its upper pitchers. Comprehensive description, photographs, geographical distribution and preliminary IUCN conservation assessment are provided for the new species. Hybrids of this new taxon with other species are also reported in this paper.

Leaf NPK fertilizer experiments on pitcher plant (Nepenthes neglecta and ventrata) conducted in May 2008 to March 2009 in a greenhouse, Botany Division, Research Center for Biology-LIPI, Cibinong Science Center, Cibinong. The objective is to study the effect of leaves NPK fertilizer on the growth of the two Nepenthes species tested. Experiments using Random Complete Factorial Design with two factors, namely the two Nepenthes species and threedoses of fertilizer each treatment repeated six times. Growth parameters measured include; long shoot leaves, plant height, number of leaves, number of mature pitchers and growth pitchers. Results showed that the dose of NPK fertilizer provided (2 and 4 ml / lt) have no effect on plant height and number of leaves, but little effect on the number of mature pitchers thanthe control plants. The statistical tests also showed no interaction between the two Nepenthes species with a given dose of fertilizer on the growth of plants. Minimum-maximum temperature recorded in the greenhouse during the experiment was 22.20C and 38.50C. Meanwhile, air humidity between 43,6-64,7%.Key words: Leaf NPK fertilizer, plant growth, pitcher plant
