Momordica janarthanamii (Cucurbitaceae): a new species from Maharashtra state, India

Abstract: Momordica janarthanamii sp. nov., from the Nashik district of Maharashtra state, India, is described and illustrated. The new species is closely related to Momordica dioica Roxb. ex Willd. Colored photographs, distribution, ecological notes and economical values of the new species are provided. A key to the dioecious species of Momordica of India is provided to facilitate identification.
