DESIGN-Retrospective cohort study.PARTICIPANTS-Patients with uveitis at four academic ocular inflammation subspecialty practices. “…However, since severe anterior inflammation reduces the function of ciliary body, IOP is often paradoxically lowered, especially in AAU 16. Therefore, it is logical that the causes of OHT in AAU or BD were steroid or pupillary block.…”

“…Several systems of cell grading on a 0-4+ scale have been reported, but the preferred method uses a narrow slit beam allowing for greater resolution of inflammatory cells. The presence of hypopyon does not differentiate the underlying etiology as this finding may be observed in patients with AAU associated with HLA-B27, Behçet's disease and patients with infectious endophthalmitis [29]. One should be aware of pseudohypopyons, which may be collections of neoplastic cells or fungal elements.…”

“…However, the differential diagnosis includes multiple infectious and other noninfectious etiologies [13,19,22,29,[46][47][48]. Cases associated with HLA-B27 are frequent and may be associated with seronegative spondyloarthropathies such as ankylosing spondylitis, reactive arthritis, IBD and psoriatic arthritis [19,49,50].…”
