Hydrosyringomyelia and Its Management in Childhood

Abstract: Syringomyelia, once regarded as a degenerative disease of adults, is now recognized to be a disorder usually associated with the Chiari malformation and occurring in patients of all ages. We have reviewed 47 patients with syringomyelia treated on the Neurosurgical Service at the Hospital for Sick Children during the years 1977 to 1985.
