Hydrogeochemical evolution and groundwater quality assessment using chemical systematics, statistical techniques, and pollution index of groundwater (PIG): a case study
Abstract:Herein, we investigate the hydrogeochemical processes influencing the chemistry and suitability of groundwater for drinking in Mubi south area, north-eastern Nigeria based on physicochemical results of water samples collected from 30 boreholes in the area. The cations and anions distribution in the samples are in the order Mg2+ > K+ > Na+ and HCO3− > NO3− > Cl− > SO42− > CO32− respectively.
