“…Catalyst synthesis via the sol-gel process is also commonly employed as it provides the means to control the surface and textural properties [47,62]. As the process is a wet chemical technique, it is also known as chemical solution deposition [61,139].…”

“…Liu et al [62] compared the activity of LaNiO 3 and LaNi 0.8 M 0.2 O 3 perovskites substituted in the B site with Fe, Co, Mn, and Cu on the SR of acetic acid and showed that activity followed the order: LaNi 0.8 Fe 0.2 O 3 > LaNi 0.8 Co 0.2 O 3 > LaNiO 3 > LaNi 0.8 Mn 0.2 O 3 > LaNi 0.8 Cu 0.2 O 3 . In another work [61] the same authors also studied a series of Fe-doped LaNiO 3 perovskites with different Ni/Fe ratios and concluded that despite LaNiO 3 showing higher activity for hydrogen production, the Ni-Fe bimetallic perovskites were more stable during the SR process. Among the partial substituted perovskites that have been examined, LaNi 0.8 Fe 0.2 O 3 demonstrated the best synergy between Ni and Fe.…”

“…[172] For LaNi x Fe 1-x O 3 perovskite oxygen carriers, tuning the Fe to Ni could result in optimal CLBP performance over repeated redox cycles. [177,178] When using perovskite OCs, special attentions must be paid to the reversibility of phase changes over long-term redox cycling. For example, deep reduction of CaMnO 3 could result in the irreversible accumulation of CaMn 2 O 4 , which is less reactive than CaMnO 3 .…”

“…Reforming is one of the most important processes to produce hydrogen (H 2 ) and/or syngas (H 2 and CO), which can be further used in downstream processes [1][2][3]. Three main reactions widely studied in H 2 or syngas production from methane (CH 4 ) are partial oxidation, dry reforming, and steam reforming [4,5].…”
