Human papillomavirus vaccine uptake among 18‐ to 26‐year‐old women in the United States

Abstract: Background HPV vaccine uptake among young adult women has been reported to be very low. We conducted this study to provide an update on HPV vaccine uptake among 18–26 year old women. Methods We used the National Health Interview Survey 2010 data to estimate HPV vaccine coverage and their correlates. Results Overall, 22.7% of women initiated (≥1 dose) and 12.7% completed the vaccine (≥3 doses). Thus, about 56% of women who initiated the vaccine completed it.
