Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Related Carcinomas of the Upper Aerodigestive Tract

Abstract: Epidemiologic, clinical, morphologic and molecular evidence show that high risk HPV, particularly type 16, is a prerequisite for some carcinomas of the upper aerodigestive tract (UADT), particularly tonsil and base of tongue.
