The main purpose of this research is to find out if, in the (scarce) relevant literature, a literature review, which relates the intellectual capital and the transport sectors, in general, there is something new in common that relates the 2 topics. The transport sectors, always but, today, more than in the past, is extremely important, both for the mobility of citizens on a daily basis and for the purpose of transporting goods. That is, directly and/or indirectly, it is pertinent. The interference of intellectual capital, on the transport sectors, potential and, in effective terms (in reality), can be important to enhance the sectors. In the selected literature, due to its scarcity and lack of substance, with a scientific contribution, what was obtained, proved to be practically null. One of the explanations that may be in the base is the lack of information that can be worked on, based on primary data. These enable, in terms of potential, public policy decision-makers, more solid and far-reaching contributions. This, today, the year 2023, is something that is still waiting and if it is not based on the public entities themselves, the waiting time will be even longer.

The Investments in Human Capital within the Human Capital Management and the Impact on the Enterprise’s Performance

Human capital (HC) is a key factor for enterprises’ performance and competitiveness. The aim of this study was to identify how enterprises in Slovakia perceive the impact of the investments in HC on business performance within the context of the implementation of human capital management (HCM). The content analysis was applied to analyze the different authors’ opinions on the substance of HC. These opinions were compared, and the knowledge obtained was synthesized. The article’s originality stems from the evaluation of the results from a unique questionnaire survey conducted with a specific focus on IT companies. This follows the presumption that these companies approach the application of HCM in an exemplary way, while being considered knowledge intensive. To collect the primary data, a questionnaire survey was performed in 113 Slovak IT enterprises and its results were analyzed using statistical tests of independence. The main findings include the corroboration of a positive effect of investments in the employees’ education and the implementation of HCM on the enterprises’ performance. Despite this, more than a third of the enterprises did not evaluate the effectiveness of investment in HC, and more than half of enterprises did not have the HCM concept implemented. Several solutions are recommended with respect to the HR managers’ training.

Teaching Performance of Slovak Primary School Teachers: Top Motivation Factors

Teaching is a specific type of profession with a specific mission. In this study, the motivation level of primary school teachers in Slovakia in the period from 2015 to 2020 was analyzed. A total of 1189 Slovak teachers with a stratified selection were addressed. Cronbach’s Alpha, Tukey’s HSD (honest significant difference), and ANOVA were used to analyze the data obtained. The research results confirm that Slovak teachers are motivated most by relationship and financial factors. Other important motivation factors are atmosphere in the workplace, a good work team, a supervisor’s approach, a fair appraisal system, and a basic salary. The research also confirms that, over the duration of the study, there was a significant change in the average level of motivation factors; however, there was no change in their relative proportion and structure. In relation to gender, significant diachronic differences were confirmed. Research results prove that Slovak teachers have stable requirements in terms of motivation. This study’s findings will further help school management create effective motivation programs for primary school teachers. Regarding the fact that no similar research has been conducted in Slovakia in a long time, the research results presented here are original and unique.
