Stroke is a major health problem causing 75.2% of mortality and 81.0% of disability in developing countries. It accounts for the primary causes of Indonesian deaths (15.4%). This research aims to analyze the variation of medicines costs for inpatient ischemic stroke based on the hospital, patients, and prescribing characteristics. Retrospective data were collected from January-September 2019 by reviewing medical records of living patients on discharge. The number of complete data for analysis is 443 entries from 23 hospitals in 5 regionals of Indonesia which are transferred to the SPSS program for further analysis. The result shows that all hospital characteristics, either type/class, ownership, and alliance with BPJSK, significantly influence medicines cost (p = 0.000). Patients in hospitals not allied with BPJSK are charged more than fourfold higher than the other group (mean IDR 4,892,570 vs. IDR 1,194,757). Patients' biological characteristics (sex and age) have no significant influence, unlike the length of stay, the number of diagnoses, and financial source. On average, the national health insurance (NHI) group pays less than a quarter (IDR 1,009,196) compared with the non-NHI group (IDR 4,261,870). Prescribing characteristics show a significant role except for injection percentage. The higher the percentage of generic and essential medicines prescribed, the lower the cost of the medicines is, while the increasing number of items also elevates medicines cost. Medicines cost for generic prescribing less than 50% is 4-5 times higher (mean = IDR 4,029,106) than the other groups. Encouraging the use of generic and essential medicines can reduce medical costs.

Stroke dapat mengganggu kemampuan otak untuk mengirim pesan ke syaraf dan otot. Terapi sarung tangan kejut listrik untuk pasien stroke adalah cara aman untuk merangsang syaraf yang membuat otot tangan pasien stroke berkontraksi, di harapkan pasien bisa menggerakkan tangannya kembali. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis usabilitas pada purwarupa sarung tangan elektrik untuk pasien stroke. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa tingkat kemudahan (learnablty) produk sarung tangan terapi elektrik cukup baik, sehingga produk ini layak karena mudah untuk digunakan. Tingkat efisiensi (efficiency) produk sarung tangan terapi elektrik cukup baik, sehingga produk ini layak karena efisien untuk digunakan dalam masa penyembuhan. Tetapi karena dalam masa ujicoba produk ini perlu di lakukan pengawasan oleh peneliti untuk mengantisipasi kendala-kendala pada saat rehabiltas stroke. Tingkat kemudahan untuk diingat (memorability) produk sarung tangan terapi elektrik cukup baik, sehingga produk ini layak karena mudah untuk diingat oleh pasien stroke dalam menggunakan tombol on/off dan potensio karena terdapat panduan penggunaan. Serta tingkat kesalahan dan kelemahan (errors) produk sarung tangan terapi elektrik cukup baik, sehingga produk ini layak karena memliki tingkat keamanan yang cukup tinggi untuk digunakan oleh pasien stroke dalam masa rehabilitasi. Tingkat kepuasan (satisfaction) produk sarung tangan terapi elektrik cukup baik, responden menyukai sarung tangan karena memiliki keamanan dan kenyamanan, dampak positif dalam penggunaan, kemudahan dalam mengoprasikan alat terapi, ekonomis, pasen lebih memilih produk ini dibandingkan dengan produk terapi lainnya.

In 2011, the prevalence of stroke in Central Java was 0.03%, then increased significantly in 2012, which was 0.07%. In 2012, the prevalence in Semarang city was 11.9%. In 2015, Regional General Hospital Ungaran had 202 stroke cases, and 31 of the patients died. After the patients are hospitalized, they have discharge planning for preparing them to go home. The purpose of this study is tu describe the implementation of discharge planning for stroke patients at the Hospital. This research uses a qualitative method. There are two groups of research participants in this research, which are four nurses and four post-stroke patients. The data collection techniques used semi-structured interviews and observations. The results showed 1) patient's activities change after the stroke experience, caused by the physical weakness and the dietary habit. 2) Nurse educators provide information about the condition and prevention of the disease, which is taking the medication, exercising regularly, and a healthy diet. 3) Criteria for discharged patients based on a doctor visit and normal vital sign ranges of the patient. 4) Discharge planning started when first-time patients were admitted to the hospital until they returned home. 5) Obstacles in the discharge planning process were the patients who did not return home and the unsettled administration dues. The conclusion of this study is the nurse already conducted discharge planning to the stroke patients at the hospital, but nurses need to optimize their role in the implementation of discharge planning
