One of the efforts to control the disease is through immunization. Low immunization coverage indicates low motivation in basic immunization. Factors that influence motivation include knowledge, perception and family support. To determine factors related to maternal motivation regarding basic immunization in infants aged 0-9 months. The study used analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The population is all mothers of infants aged 0-9 months in the work area of the South Alalak Health Center in Banjarmasin, amounting to 711 people. Samples taken amounted to 98 people with purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank test with a 95% confidence level. Most of the mothers did not know about immunization, 64 people (65.3%), had sufficient perception that 86 people (87.8%), had family support of 78 people (79.6%), had high motivation regarding the provision of basic immunizations, 54 people (55.1%). There is a relationship between knowledge, perceptions and family support with mother's motivation regarding basic immunization in infants aged 0-9 months. There is a relationship between knowledge, perceptions and family support with mother's motivation regarding basic immunization for infants aged 0-9 months. Puskesmas should be able to improve communication, information and education media on basic immunization in full through posters, or leaflets.

Background: They are expected to be able to apply principles of familybased health treatments by prioritizing preventive, coordinative, and collaborative services. Based on the principles, identifying and managing diphtheria cases at some of health centres should be evaluated because there have been an increase of diphtheria cases, especially in Banda Aceh city.Objective: This study aimed to evaluate roles of doctors in the health centres to prevent the diphtheria. Furthermore, this research also aimed to determine obstacles of the diphtheria treatments encountered by the doctors. Methods: This study was a multiple case study. Its data were collected by in-depth interviews with doctors at five health centres in Banda Aceh. Data from the interviews were verified by using source and technical triangulation methods at the health offices and governmental hospitals in Banda Aceh. Result: Doctors' efforts at the health centres in Banda Aceh to apply principles of family medicine for the immunization experienced some obstacles. For example, they had less understanding about developing problems in their societies, namely issues of illegitimate (haram) vaccines and KIPI (post-immunization follow-up events). They also did not make active efforts to identify diphtheria cases by making coordination with their colleagues in other health service units. Conclusion:The doctors at the health centres of Banda Aceh had not fully implemented the principles of family medicine.berkembang dimasyarakat yaitu isu vaksin haram dan KIPI (kejadian Ikutan Pasca Imunisasi). Dokter juga tidak melakukan upaya aktif penemuan kasus difteri melalui koordinasi dengan teman sejawat di unit layanan kesehatan lain. Kesimpulan: Dokter puskesmas di Kota Banda Aceh belum sepenuhnya melaksanakan prinsip kedokteran keluarga yaitu komprehensif, kontinyu dan koordinasi.

Factors Associated with Providing the Basic Immunization to Infants

Basic immunization is the first providing immunization to acquire the immune level on the verge of protection given to baby before one year which was aimed to get a full set of basic immunization for each baby with a good indicator that is full immunization (IDL). The indicator was influenced by several independent variables such as mother’s job status, education, knowledge, attitude, perception, and support from cadre and family. From total 89 villages in Lamandau district since 2015 to 2018, there were 82 villages of Universal Child Immunization (UCI) (92.1%) increased by 22.78% than 2016 is 69.32%. However, there was Drop Out (DO) of 2.83% from the village thathad not reached a full set of basic immunization of infants in Kujan Village. The objective of this study is to determine the factors associated with providing a full set of basic immunization of infants in Kujan village, Bulik district, Lamandau Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. The research employed cross sectional design. Data was collected from 80 mothers who had children aged 12-24 months during February 2020. The study samples was conducted with total sampling (80 respondents). The results of study used chi square test with levels of trust that is 95%. It showed a significant relationship between education by providing a full set of basic immunization of infants with p-value = 0.000. Meanwhile, employment status, knowledge, attitudes, family support, perceptions, support from cadres were not related to complete immunization. Therefore, based on the results of this study, it is suggested to the Lamandau Regency Government in the long term to improve the education of healthy mothers and also massive education related to the importance of immunization to increase the complete basic immunization coverage in Kujan Village.
