Stunting is one of the effects of nutritional problems from past intake caused by a lack of macro and micro nutrient intake (such as protein, vitamin A, zinc), as well as the frequency of infectious diseases such as diarrhea and low birth weight. Kuala Pesisir sub-district has a prevalence of stunting in 2017 that is 39.2%. Purwodadi Village accounts for the highest stunting case, with 66 toddlers with stunting. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of mothers' knowledge and attitudes on the provision of tempe broth as an effort to prevent stunting in infants in Purwodadi Village, Kuala Pesisir District, Nagan Raya Regency. This study uses a cross-sectional design with a population of 75 mothers who come from poor families and have toddlers, sampling using a total sampling technique that is as many as 75 mothers who come from misikin families. Data were analyzed by univariate, bivariate, and multivariate using multiple linear regression tests.The results showed a relationship between mother's knowledge and attitude towards the provision of tempe broth as an effort to prevent stunting in infants (P. Value <0.05). For the results of multivariate analysis shows that the mother's knowledge gives a stronger influence on the administration of tempe broth (Ex. B. 27, 28). The conclusion there is a very significant relationship between mother's knowledge and attitude towards the provision of tempe broth. Mother's knowledge gives a stronger influence on the provision of tempe broth as an effort to prevent stunting in infants. It is necessary to increase the education program for the community about the importance of nutrition in preventing stunting in infants.

Childhood is an important age for physical growth. The growth of children under the age of five is so fast that they need to eat foods that are in line with their needs. The purpose of this study was to examine maternal knowledge and the relationship between nutrition and nutritional status in young children. This research is a literature review with a descriptive research method and library research where this research tries to explain the real things, which are happening now or in the past. This article examines maternal knowledge and the relationship between diet and nutritional status in child stunting. Based on studies from many previous studies, it is known that the level of knowledge of mothers about nutrition is effective in supporting the nutrition of their children. It is assumed that mothers who have good knowledge about food choose the right food for themselves and their children.

Pemberian gizi yang cukup pada balita terutama pada usia emas balita “Golden Age” yaitu pada usia 2-5 tahun dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti faktor pengetahuan dan sikap. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap ibu adalah dengan pemberian edukasi kesehatan tentang gizi balita menggunakan media edukasi leaflet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian edukasi kesehatan dengan menggunakan media leaflet terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap ibu tentang gizi balita di wilayah pesisir Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, dengan desain penelitian Pre-Experiment dengan rancangan penelitian One Group pre-test dan post-test. Sampel penelitian adalah 40 responden yang diambil berdasarkan kriteria inklusi menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata pengetahuan sebelum diberikan intervensi (pre-test) 10,13 sedangkan rata-rata pengetahuan sesudah (post-test) diberikan intervensi adalah 12,13. Rata-rata sikap sebelum (pre-test) diberikan intervensi 30,38 kemudian sesudah (post-test) diberikan intervensi rata-rata sikap adalah 35,88. Hasil uji statistik menyatakan bahwa ada pengaruh edukasi kesehatan dengan media leaflet terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap ibu tentang gizi balita dengan pvalue (0,000) < alpha (0,05). Kesimpulannya bahwa pemberian edukasi kesehatan dengan media leaflet berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap ibu tentang gizi balita di wilayah Pesisir Pekanbaru sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi dengan media leaflet.
