“…The National Stroke Prevention and Treatment Programme, launched in 1997, was the implementation of the Helsingborg Declaration, drafted in 1995 for the World Health Oganization (WHO), and specified the principles of the modern treatment of stroke in all European Union countries [46,47,48,49].
