Endemic bird species have a high conservation value concentrated in a critical location for conservation with an exciting value in endemic bird species groups. The site of concentration of endemic bird species can be referred to as Endemic Bird Diversity Hotspot. There are seven bird diversity hotspot locations identified in the KPHP Wae Sapalewa region in North Seram, with a good bird species diversity, including endemic bird species. The study aimed to examine the variety and population of endemic bird species at seven hotspot locations within kphp Wae Sapalewa. The research method uses Point Count, which is placed in the transek. The results showed 121 species of birds, consisting of 9 species, namely: Basilornis corythaix, Cacatua moluccensis, Gymnophaps mada, Eos semilarvata, Lorius domicella, Halcyon lazuli, Rhipidura dedemi, Philemon subcorniculatus, and Myzomela blasii. Most endemic bird species have a low population density. This condition shows the need for conservation action for endemic bird species groups in these hotspot locations. KPHP Wae Sapalewa organization has the opportunity to take appropriate conservation actions to accelerate the existence of these endemic bird species.

The discourse on developing Kuala Bubon mangrove forest area in West Aceh as an ecotourism location has received a lot of sympathy and support among the community, considering that this forest has a high level of diversity of flora and fauna, one of which is bird species. In several ecotourism locations, birds attract tourists by enjoying various entertainment related to birds, such as bird watching, tours of bird habitats, and observing birds in the wild. The research was carried out in the Kuala Bubon mangrove forest, West Aceh, in September 2023. This research used a quantitative approach, calculating the level of diversity and mapping distribution based on bird location coordinates. The data collection method uses the point count and line transect method. Analysis of bird species diversity data using the Shannon-Wienner Diversity Index (H') formula was then carried out by mapping the coordinates of bird presence using the Quantum Gis software. The research results obtained 37 bird species from 22 families with a diversity index of 3.07 (high diversity), two species with the status of Near Threatened (Aegithina Viridissima) and Vulnerable Under (Acridotheres javanicus). Mapping bird species diversity with Quantum Gis provides opportunities for developing bird ecotourism, such as planning optimal bird-watching routes after knowing the distribution of bird species.

Management of forest land by the community is generally to meet the needs of life, but on the other hand forest land also provides benefits for birds as a habitat for various activities and for the survival of these birds. This study aimed to determine how the effect of forest land management systems by the community on the existence of birds. The research approach used was field surveys and interviews with land management communities. The results showed that the Ameth community land management system was divided into land use to make gardens indicated by types of food plants (vegetables and tubers) and use to make dusung indicated by longevity plant species (nutmeg, cloves, coconut, etc.). The community found 10 identified species of birds when managing land. Then, based on the result of the study, 26 species were found in a sample location of 5 hectares. Although the birds do not get the attention of the community, there are community anticipatory actions to anticipate the occurrence of conditions and efforts to protect the garden and dusung from damage to plants by birds.
