Holographic melting of heavy baryons in plasma with gluon condensation

Abstract: We propose a Dirac-Born-Infeld ( DBI ) D5 vertex brane plus N c fundamental strings configuration to describe a baryon probe in strongly coupled gauge theory with gluon condensation at finite temperature via AdS/CFT correspondence. We investigate properties of this configuration in a dilaton deformed AdS 5 ×S 5 background, in which IIB string theory is dual to super Yang-Mills theory in a state with a constant self-dual gauge field (F mn = F * mn ) background. We find that for most values of temperature T and … Show more

“…Similarly to our discussion of the potential in the static case, we find that in the rotating case for a particular value ω * such that ω * > ω max , corresponding to d * < d max , dissociation appears. Once dissociation has appeared we are left with a pair of straight strings whose potential vanishes for ω < ω * A string-junction holographic model of a probe baryon in finite temperature SYM dual to AdS-Schwarzschild black hole is studied in [36,37,38]. Therein, a relation between D5brane position, which plays the same role of a of the U-shaped string in our work, and quark separation is plotted.…”

“…By introducing D7 probe branes into the background geometry, according to the proposal of Karch and Katz [13], flavors can also be introduced into these backgrounds, and then quark condensates and meson spectra can be studied [12,[14][15][16][17][18]. Also by introducing baryonic D5-branes, studies can be carried out on baryon properties in the glue condensates [19][20][21][22][23].…”
