“…Issues about the use of beachrocks as precise sea-level indicators were also raised by Knight (2007) and Vött et al (2010). However, several studies carried out in the Aegean Sea pointed out the importance of beachrocks as sea level indicator (Desruelles et al, 2004;Fouache et al, 2005;Pavlopoulos et al, 2007;Desruelles et al, 2009;Evelpidou et al, 2011) especially if coupled with other morphological and biological proxies (Neumeier et al, 2000;Nixon et al, 2009).
