“…Which have been observed by several authors, indeed, intestine and stomach suffer from envenomation by H. lepturus (Heidarpour et al, 2012). Such alteration was also observed after injection of brown spiders (Loxosceles genus) venom (Babcock et al, 1981).…”

“…Substantial evidences support this view. In fact, histopathological studies of H. lepturus envenomation showed massive cardiac myocytolysis with interstitial necrosis (Heidarpour et al, 2012), and after injection of sublethal doses of T. serrulatus venoms, which induce Hemorrhage, ruptured and hypertrophied fibers in heart (Corrêa et al, 1997). Acute myocarditis was also observed after accidental envenomation of humans by the venom of Tityus trinitatis (Daisley et al, 1999).…”

“…This survival strongly affirms that all mice were completely protected against wide range of different lethal dosages of crude venom (10 LD 100 , equal to 50 mg/Kg), thus illustrating a successful and 100% immunization in the mice. Heidarpour et al determined the LD 50 amount of H. lepturus crude venom as 5 mg/Kg in BALB/c mice [36]. These data are greatly in accordance with ELISA in which a raised antibody titer was observed at the first injection of mut-rPLD1 followed by reaching the plateau state from the 3rd injection to the 6th injection.…”

“…However, in addition, immunopathologic changes have been observed, with accompanying tubular necrosis in mice injected with Androctonus australis hector scorpion venom [8]. Tubular necrosis has also been observed following envenomation with Hemiscorpius Lepturus scorpion venom [22, 23]. However, it is unclear whether the renal injury resulting from scorpion venoms is due to a direct effect of the venom components, or a whether renal injury depends upon the catecholamine storm and/or the inflammatory response.…”
