This study presents a potential approach to applying image processing to the cocoa farming industry. Industry 4.0 is changing how technology is applied in cocoa cultivation. Research shows that pests and diseases are major factors that can reduce productivity, especially in the upstream and downstream industries. This study aims to conduct a literature review of several related studies, including previous research. Based on relevant references related to previous research, it is found that the case of disease attack in cocoa is most often studied. This study shows that the color analysis model is more inclined to the case of disease image patterns. The performance pattern of the existing approaches, the average accuracy is 82.85%. More challenges in image processing and efforts are made to improve accuracy but with lower processing complexity. This study also recommends a model that supports the implementation of image processing with machine learning technology in the upstream cocoa cultivation industry. The study results show that the proposed modeling framework can be the following reference for research development towards artificial intelligence technology to support Industry 4.0, particularly in cocoa cultivation.

The current common color image encryption algorithms applying “scrambling-diffusion” have some problems, such as the small key space, the cumbersome encryption process, and the security vulnerability. Aiming at these problems, this paper proposes a new color image encryption algorithm based on the hyperchaotic system and applying “transforming-scrambling-diffusion” model. Before scrambling, in accordance with the plaintext itself attributes, the number of iterations was calculated, all the pixel values of color image were transformed into gray code iteratively, and then the chaotic sequence was generated from the four-dimensional hyperchaotic system. Pixel matrix after gray code transformation was converted to one-dimensional matrix. The chaotic sequence was sorted and the one-dimensional matrix was changed positions correspondingly to complete the whole domain scrambling. And then, bit-operation was executed for image diffusion. The ciphertext can be obtained by matrix transformation. The key sensitivity, histogram, information entropy, correlation, and other evaluation indexes were calculated and analyzed through the simulation experiment. Compared with other algorithms, it can be proved that the encryption algorithm has the strong antiattack ability.

Softening of the image (Image smoothing) aims to suppress noise (noise) in the image. The interference usually appears as a result of the results of the reduction is not good (noise sensor, photographic grain noise) or due to the transmission line (on data transmission). This research has produced an application program for image smoothing with several methods namely mean filtering, grayscale and gaussian filtering. The test image used in this study uses one sample sample. The image is loaded and displayed on the program. Then the image smoothing process is carried out using the grayscale, gaussian and mean methods.
