“…To date, dark-field microscopy (DFM) has developed as a promising optical tool in the field of chemical reaction monitoring, real-time optical sensing, metal ions’ quantitative analysis, , and live cell imaging at single-cell level. Compared with fluorescence microscopy imaging, DFM possesses the imaging characteristic of extraordinary contrast between the bright light scattering probes and the dark background, which overcome the inherent disadvantages of fluorescent molecules such as photobleaching and photo-damage .
