“…The synthesis of the respective N-donor ligands was previously reported by Lässig et al 16 While the synthesis and characterization of the coordination polymers 3 ∞ [M(Me-3py-trz-pba) 2 ] (M = Zn: 1, Zn/Co: Series I) were reported earlier, 17 To determine the actual amounts of zinc and cobalt incorporated into the MOFs, atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) was carried out. For this, the samples were first incinerated and afterwards diluted in nitric acid.…”

“…1,2,4-triazole derived ligands show promising coordination chemistry especially when substituted with certain donor groups. The synthesis of such ligands has been reported 16 and successfully applied for the preparation of novel MOFs. 17,18 Especially MOFs with N-donor ligands show interesting properties for heterogeneous catalysis.…”

“…[17] Herein, we present a novel microporous copper-based MOF 3 1 [Cu(Me-4py-trz-ia)] (1; Me-4py-trz-ia 2À = 5-(3-methyl-5-(pyridin-4-yl)-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)isophthalate) with extraordinarily high CO 2 and H 2 uptakes at ambient pressure, the H 2 uptake being similar to that in PCN-12. The ligand Me-4py-trz-ia 2À (Figure 1 a), which can be obtained from cheap starting materials by a three-step synthesis in good yield, combines carboxylate, triazole, and pyridine functions and is adopted from a recently presented series of linkers, [18] for which up to now only a few coordination polymers are known. [19][20][21][22] Single crystals of 1 that are suitable for X-ray crystal structure analysis were prepared by diffusion of copper sulfate and H 2 (Me-4py-trz-ia).…”

“…The presence of bis-carboxyl group resulted in quite low yield of compound 35c (45%), while monocarboxyl substitution gave high yields up to 70-81% (Table 1). Generally, it was considered that the driving force in this reaction was the release of dimethyl amine as well as the stability of aromatic heterocycle [63]. Thiocarbonyl diazoles as one of the highly reactive molecules are also used for the preparation of triazolones which are difficult to be prepared under common conditions.…”
