“…PVA reacts with aldehydes to form six‐membered rings primarily between adjacent and intramolecular hydroxyl groups. [ 106 ] PVB is a clear, colorless, amorphous thermoplastic exhibiting excellent flexibility and film formation, good adhesion, and outstanding UV resistance. The PVB properties (namely, the solubility in various solvents and compatibility with binders and plasticizers) depend on the degrees of acetalization and polymerization.…”

“…The bands at 1050 and 1150 cm −1 correspond to symmetric and asymmetric stretchings of C C vibrations present in the butyral ring, while the band at 1740 cm −1 is attributed to the presence of acetal groups. 23 Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. 1,21 All the spectra are similar, and, with the exception of the PVB/CNT 0.1, all samples present a 1560 cm −1 band relative to a symmetrical C C C stretch.…”

“…PVB resin has high mechanical transparency, good mechanical properties, and good adhesion to glass, ceramics, metals and other materials [5][6][7], so it is mainly made into films used in safety glass, photovoltaic battery interlayer materials [6], in addition to widely used in coatings, aluminum foil paper and other aspects [9][10][11]. Due to the expansion of the automotive industry, the demand for PVB films with sound insulation, UV resistance, high impact strength, transparency, and high and low temperature resistance will continue to increase [12][13][14][15].…”
