Polyvinyl Butyral Synthesis Process Based on Deep Eutectic Solvent as a Catalyst

Abstract: Polyvinyl butyral (PVB) was prepared by the condensation reaction of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) with n-butyraldehyde using a catalyst which is a kind of deep eutectic solvent (DES) made of dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride and p-toluenesulfonic acid.
