Higher Education in Taiwan: An Analysis of Trends Using the Theory of Punctuated Equilibrium

Abstract: Taiwan is currently facing the serious challenge of decreasing enrollment in higher education institutes (HEIs) due to the oversupply of these institutions and decreasing birthrates.
