High validity of measuring the width and volume of medial meniscal extrusion three-dimensionally using an MRI-derived tibial model

Abstract: Background: Medial meniscal extrusion (MME) is an important marker of knee osteoarthritis (KOA) progression. The purposes of this study were: 1) to determine whether there are morphological differences between CT-and MRIderived tibial plateau models; and 2) to determine whether measurement of MME volume and width using an MRIderived tibial model is as accurate as measurements on a CT-derived tibial model. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study that enrolled ten participants with medial KOA (Kellgren-Lawrenc… Show more

“…Austria, a country with a population of approximately 9 million, gained international attention for its early coronavirus spread during the first wave and high local incidence rates of COVID-19 during the second wave of the pandemic [ 14 ]. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all aspects of surgical procedures and scheduling, where elective cases were postponed during the first wave of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic [ 15 , 16 , 17 ]. Patients suffered from a care delay, and the surgical volume for cancer surgeries and emergency and general surgery procedures, as well as coronary syndrome interventions, dropped substantially during the first wave of the pandemic [ 7 , 8 , 18 , 19 ].…”

“…It is considered that responsiveness in football is one of the key abilities that determine the technical and tactical skills, regardless of the player’s position on the pitch [ 28 ]. Moreover, the response time may also be related to the risk of musculoskeletal injury [ 29 , 30 ]. During a study on professional football players, the correlation between the response time and speed achieved on a 20-m distance was checked [ 23 ].…”
