H i g h -s p e e d d a t a t r a n s m i s s i o n a t a v e r a g e power l e v e l s e x c e e d i n g 20 mW ( 5 0 % d u t y c y c l e ) o f c o u p l e d l i g h t i n g r a d e d i n d e x f i b e r was a c h i e v e d . E n h a n c e d s i g n a l -t on o i s e r a t i o ( a p p r o a c h i n g 30 dB) f o r AM systems i s d e m o n s t r a t e d .
