High-Performance Electronic Cloth for Facilitating the Rehabilitation of Human Joints

Abstract: The concern about easily characterizing the conditions of human joints to facilitate rehabilitation during recovery training has been out of sight, even though it is acknowledged that timely recovering functions of injured joints is a must. To facilitate the situation to be addressed, a stretchable, air-permeable electronic cloth (SApEC) was fabricated by electrostatic spinning and hot-pressing. The SApEC consists of conductive-elastic fabric Ag and composite nanofibrous membrane (CNFM) with components of poly… Show more

“…Electrospinning, as a peer technology of electrospraying, can create polymeric nanofibers with variable structural features in a single-step process [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 ], and should thus hold great promises for developing new types of polymer-based nanofibers loaded with different kinds of active ingredients [ 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 ], including those for treating coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) [ 12 , 13 , 14 ]. In 1996, electrospinning (previously electrostatic spinning) and nanofibers were revived by Reneker’s group [ 15 ].…”

“…Electrospinning, a simple and straightforward method for preparing nanofibers [1][2][3][4], is quickly moving forward along two important directions. One is the production on a large scale for potential commercial applications [5][6][7].…”

“…From up to bottom, the top signal is the original of the touching signal from a single fiber, followed by filtered, amplified/converted and triggered signals. The pulse signals and electronic circuits are the key points to drive the fan . In this process, once the SET generates a pulse signal, the relay is supposed to switch.…”
